After fitting load bearing supports, brickwork was removed to accommodate the steel lintel. The opening was then cut and top hung sliding oak doors were fitted. Reclaimed bricks were then blended in to match existing brickwork. The next stage of the project was to build steps due to cellar elevation. Steel reinforcements were then placed ready for the concrete base. Blockwork and matching brick was then used to build the framework for the steps. The framework was then filled solid with blockwork. Damp-proof course was fitted to prevent ingress of moisture. The limestone steps are added to complete the project complementing the aesthetics of the property.
